Platelet Rich Plasma ( PRP ) Therapy

چکیده
Molloy, et. al., (2003) address specific growth factors encountered in ligament and tendon healing. After reading about the factors found in superficial wounds, above, these should appear familiar, including: Platelet derived growth factor (PDGF)—produced shortly after tendon injury, stimulates production of other growth factors such as IGF-1, and is involved in the tissue remodeling phase of healing. Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1)—present in the early inflammatory phase. Transforming growth factor beta (TGFbeta)—present in the inflammatory phase. Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF)—present in the late inflammatory phase, stimulates angiogenesis, and regulates cellular migration and proliferation. •

Efficacy of platelet rich plasma (PRP) on skin rejuvenation: A systematic review
Background: With the increase in life expectancy, middle aged and elderly people comprise a substantial percentage of the population worldwide. Since aging often manifests itself in the human skin, skin rejuvenation methods have gained a lot of popularity. Current medical modalities such as botulinum toxininjection, fillers, and laser therapy can provide symptomatic relief of skin aging s...
متن کاملIntraarticular Injections of Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP)in the Management of Knee Osteoarthritis
The clinical use of PRP therapy in the practical setting of orthopaedic fields is increasing partly because of the accessibility of devices that are used in outpatient preparation and delivery. Another reason is the strong advertisement of PRP procedures as the ultimate treatment and novel technology for knee problems by a few orthopaedic surgeons based on claims of abundant scientific eviden...
متن کاملHistomorphometrical study of the effect of platelet-rich plasma therapy on the damage caused by the Torsion-Detorsion testicular in mice
Background & Objectives: Testicular Torsion is one of the emergency cases which is caused by twisting of the spermatic cord; Detorsion leads to the recirculation of blood and ultimately, more damage occurs in testis. Platelet-Rich plasma (PRP) contains several growth factors and cytokines that can restore tissue and rebuild cells, so in this study, PRP was used to evaluate its effects. Material...
متن کاملComparison of the Effect of Bovine Platelet Lysate and Platelet Rich Plasma as Growth Promoters on Growth Rate and Viability of Different Cell Lines
Background: Cell therapy and cell culture have received much attention in recent decades. Suitable cell growth requires growth supplements such as fetal bovine serum (FBS). FBS is component rich in nutrients, growth factors and supplementary compounds. However, FBS utilization has some limitations including mass production. Therefore, finding alternatives with the same growth promoting effects ...

Objectives- To evaluate the efficacy of platelet rich- plasma (PRP) and plasma rich-growth factor (PRGF®) on the wound healing on distal aspect of horses limbs. Design- Experimental study Animals - Four mixed- breed adult horses, 13 to 21 years of age and weighting 381 ±85 kg Procedures- The Limbs of each horse were treated with PRP, PRGF®, Silver Sulfa diazin and one limb received no treatment...
متن کاملInhibitory activities of platelet-rich and platelet-poor plasma on the growth- of pathogenic bacteria
Background:The utility and efficacy of novel materials in tissue regeneration and antimicrobial therapy are contingent upon the employment of either blood derivatives rich in platelets or platelet-poor-plasma (PPP). This effect is largely mediated by the increased or decreased concentration of platelets in the plasma. The current study aimed t...
